On August 23rd, we, Poederbaas, proudly stood at the heart of the Skypark Sessions, where we were the main sponsor this year. What made this event so special? It was completely free to access, giving everyone, from curious beginners to experienced riders, the chance to experience freestyle skiing and snowboarding in Belgium in an accessible way.
Throughout the day, visitors could participate in open sessions on the airbag. Via a dry slope, they landed safely in a large freestyle air cushion, guided by experienced ski and snowboard instructors who shared valuable tips and tricks. Whether you wanted to try your very first jump or expand your tricks, there was a place for everyone. Additionally, there were trampoline sessions where participants could practice their first backflip, and a skateramp and practice snowboard to test basic skills and build confidence.
The highlight of the day was the Jam Session in the afternoon. This session was all about courage, style, and creativity. Riders who tried new tricks or gave their moves an original twist had a chance to win cool Poederbaas goodies. Ultimately, the top five even went home with store credit to expand their gear. The atmosphere was incredible: both participants and spectators left the Skypark Sessions with a big smile and a good dose of inspiration.
For us at Poederbaas, this event was the perfect way to show what we stand for: color, fun, accessibility, and growing together within the freestyle community. The fact that the Skypark Sessions were free to access made it extra special and brought our community closer together.
