These are the winners of the NK Freeride 2023!
Kappl, 2023 - After a fantastic week in which participants could test the latest skis and snowboards, follow cool clinics and we even got a thick layer of powder snow, it was finally time for the finals of the NK Freeride 2023.
It was a spectacular final on a challenging face, where the finalists all got off safely and created beautiful lines.
In the Snowboard Woman category, the final was ridden with two participants, with Lisa van Haaster taking first place with a score of 70. Lotte Kavelaars takes home the cup for second place, but ended with a No Score because she was out of the face for a moment. Third place was already won during the Qualifiers by Frenneke Blokker, who received 50.7 points there.
In the category Snowboard Man, the podium is filled by Jarin Vergeer, Tim van Rossum and Dirk Brouwer. Jarin, a snowboard instructor in Kappl, received the highest score with 80.8 points. He was followed by Tim van Rossum with 62.8 points and Dirk Brouwer with 57.4 points. Special mention here for Lars Peirtsegaele, who, as a Belgian, does not get a place on the Dutch podium, but finished just below Jarin in terms of points, with his spectacular run!
In the category Ski Woman it was still exciting during the Qualifier, but the first place during the final is really for IJssel Pothoven with a score of no less than 81.4 points. She was followed by Sanne de Jong, who finished in 2nd place with 78 points. Third place went to Tamar van Delen, who took part for the first time and put down a spectacular run, receiving 74.4 points for it.
Finally, the Ski Man category, where the level was really bizarrely high. In first place was Arne Lammers with a score of 93.8 - spoiling the audience with a very nice line. Second place is for Wouter Gijzen, with 85 points. Third place is for Jens de Jager, who had a painful crash last year, but has now conquered the podium in full glory.
It was another very successful edition of the Poederbaas Freeride Festival 2023, we'll be back next year!
