BREAKING! Poederbaas opens first Freeride ski area in Amsterdam region

Poederbaas opens the first official freeride ski area in the Amsterdam region. No groomed slopes, no fences, no excuses. In the Amsterdam ski region, one rule applies: everything that goes down is a descent.

This new area is all about freedom. You can ski everywhere, as long as you go downhill. From natural road gaps to creative lines between trees and subtle drops: every descent is freeride. Routes are not marked and are not maintained. You choose your line.

No lifts, no tow-ropes. Everything is done on your own strength, by bootpacking. After each descent, you go back up yourself, as freeriding is meant to be.

Because freeriding requires responsibility, access is only possible with full equipment such as the 3-unit, helmet, and back protector.

Ski region Amsterdam is also the perfect training environment for the Dutch/Belgian Freeride Championships 2026. Technical lines, limited vertical drop, and many repetitions make this area ideal for working on your flow, line choice, and control. Welcome to ski area Amsterdam!

Do you still want to participate in the Dutch/Belgian Freeride Festival? Get your ticket here: https://poederbaas.com/collections/tickets-pff-2026

Will we see you on January 7th at 10:00 for the opening of this beautiful freeride paradise?
